Bacon Rashers Consumer usage of rashers has changed substantially over the last few years. They are no longer just used as part of the traditional fry or grill, but are part of the snacking culture in BLTs, an ingredient in pizzas, omelettes and pasta dishes. Kerry Foods is making bacon more convenient to use with the launch of microwaveable lines under both the Denny and Wall’s brands.
Chilled Juice / Smoothies A major growth market in Ireland in which Kerry Foods has a leading position with the Dawn brand.
Cooked Meats Whether bought pre-packed and sliced, or from the deli counter, cooked meats are one of the fastest growing food categories in both the Irish and British grocery markets. Kerry Foods supplies both ham and poultry sliced meats, it has a significant Private Label business and of course the Denny, Ballyfree and Mattessons brands.
Dairy Spreads Since the 1970s Kerry Foods has pioneered and developed world class technology in the production of high-quality dairy and low fat spreads at the Group’s flagship plant in Listowel, Co. Kerry. This technology has been fundamental in allowing Kerry to establish a leading position in many of its spreads categories through a portfolio of leading Irish brands: Low Low, Kerrymaid, Move Over Butter, Easigold, Golden Olive, Golden Vale Churn, Easipail and Golden Cow; and also as a leading manufacturer of quality private label products to all major UK retailers.
Cheese and Cheese Snacks Kerry Foods has substantially developed its cheese and cheese snack portfolio following the Golden Vale acquisition. The range includes cheddar cheese blocks, sliced packs, savoury cheese spreads and cheese snacks marketed under the Charleville, Coleraine, EasiSingles, Golden Vale, Cheestrings and Attack-a-Snak brands.
Frozen Vegetable Snacks Battered and breaded mushrooms and onion rings are a popular snacking option with kids and adults. Kerry Foods is a leading supplier to both major retailers and quick service restaurants.
Milk & Dairy Products Dawn Dairies and the former Golden Vale Dairies supply milk to consumers, retailers and caterers in the South West of Ireland.
Ready Meals Kerry Foods is a leading supplier of chilled ready meals under Retailers’ Private Label and has launched branded chilled ready meals under the Denny Brand in Ireland. The division’s Rye Valley Foods business is a leading supplier of frozen ready meal solutions to both the Irish and UK markets. The acquisition of Noon Group in 2005 marked a major expansion of the division’s chilled ready meals business in the UK market. Noon is the UK market leader in the development and production of authentic Asian ready meals.

Sandwiches The sandwich market has grown considerably in recent years. Freshways, based in Dublin, is the leading manufacturer and distributor of sandwiches in Ireland. Kerry Foods is also a leading supplier of sandwiches in the UK across the entire convenience and independent retail sector through its dedicated distribution business Kerry Foods Direct To Store.
Sausage Consumers still love sausages! The prepacked sausage market is growing in both the UK and Ireland, and Kerry Foods markets the leading brands; Denny, Wall’s, Richmond, Lawsons, Porkinsons and Bowyers.
