been acquired:
- 1998 – Mastertaste (UK); a leading flavour house for savoury and sweet applications and the Group’s first dedicated flavour business acquisition
- 1998 – Burns Philip (AUS, NZ); a leader in the flavours business serving Australia, New Zealand and Asian markets
- 2001 – San Giorgio Flavours (Italy); a provider of food and beverage flavours to EU and Asian Markets
- 2001 – The Geneva Group (USA); a leading flavour provider for savoury and sweet applications in foodservice and processed food manufacturing
- 2001 – Hickory Specialties Inc. (USA); a world leading producer of liquid smoke flavours
- 2002 – St. Louis Flavors (USA); enhancing the division’s technical base in sweet flavour development
- 2002 – Metarom (CA); the largest private flavour company in Canada, was acquired to service the sweet flavour sector with a focus on the beverage, dairy and confectionery industries
- 2003 – SunPure (USA); a leading manufacturer of natural citrus flavours and ingredients
- 2003 – Crystals International (USA); a leading specialist manufacturer of natural fruit and vegetable flavours for global markets
- 2004 – Manheimer (USA); a leading formulator and supplier of natural flavours for the beverage, confectionery, meat and soup industries
- 2004 – Flavurence (USA); specialising in natural fruit flavours, a major flavour supplier to food and beverage producers
- 2004 – Laboratorios Krauss (Mexico/Central America); a supplier of sweet flavours to the food industry in Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean
- 2004 – Fructamine (Italy); a leading producer of naturally extracted flavours, serving European savoury, bakery and soft drink markets
