Engineering
Initially you will need to learn about production in terms of the processes and the machinery and this may involve spending time on the production line. Having gained this basic knowledge you will then need to familiarise yourself with the engineering issues surrounding production. From early on you will be involved in solving problems associated with line breakdowns or specific pieces of machinery as well as ongoing machine maintenance to ensure optimum business efficiency. You will also be expected to input your ideas in respect of installing new equipment, amending existing equipment and improving the workplace in line with environmental, health and safety and other statutory requirements.

Within six months you could be in charge of your own team of maintenance engineers and from there you could progress to Maintenance Manager for the operating site. There will be opportunities for you to be involved in capital expenditure investment projects as Kerry continues to grow rapidly. A typical progression path might be Engineering Manager or you may want to consider moving into an Operations role.

We are recognised as a CIMA Development Partner and have achieved an ACCA Platinum Level Award for our continuous professional development and training.
